At Curious Critters, we are dedicated to delivering valuable lessons through thrilling live animal experiences. Choose from a variety of engaging 1 hour and 20-minute curated activities, or opt for our special Animal Picture Day, where you can customize the duration and select the number of critters you'd like to meet!
Each Live Animal Picture Day includes a professionally edited photo card featuring each participant with their favorite critter, capturing the joy of the experience!

Live Animal Picture Days!
Our Live Animal Picture Day! is a custom animal adventure where you get to select the duration of your adventure and the critters you wish to pet, take pictures with, and learn about!
45 minutes - 2 hours
3-7 different Critters! (depending on duration)
Learn about, pet & hold each critter!
Each participating student gets to take home a professionally edited picture card of themselves posing with or holding their favourite critter!

Our Program Menu by Age
For Everyone
programs for ALL ages!
1. Animal Picture Card Day!
An animal adventure where your students will get to learn about each Critter, ask questions, hold, pet, and take a picture with their favourite critter!
2. Card Making Day (Themed to Holiday or Event)!
Making holiday or event themed craft cards using a huge array of art and crafting materials.
3. Clay Creation Day!
Students get to create their own hand-pressed plaque, tray, decoration or ornament to paint and decorate!
4. Keychain Decorating Day!
Students get to decorate their own wooden key chain and get creative with all the craft and painting supplies.
5. Painting Day!
Each student creates their own painting masterpiece alongside their favourite critter! (finger paints for PreCritters)
6. Canvas bag Painting Day!
Each student gets their own canvas bag to paint and decorate using stencils, fabric markers, and special paints!

PreCritters Ages 4-6
LilCritters Ages 7-10
- Piggy Craft Day!
Students will learn all about where meat, eggs and milk come from in age-appropriate terms and make their very own craft pig-pen made from piggy toys, chocolate pudding and popsicle stick fencing. - Reading With Critters Day!
Read alongside a teacher-selected book or a Curious Critters-selected book to some of your favourite critters. - All About Agriculture Day!
A free-play felt board for students to place their own farm elements to collectively design a farm while learning about each component as we play. - How to Draw Day!
Learn how to draw through a follow-along activity. For ages 4–7, we place stickers on a connect-the-dots activity printout and learn about wild animals vs zoo animals! - Finger Painting Day!
Toddler-safe finger painting with your favourite critters! Finger paints, sleeves and smock available! - Dino Hunt day! As a group, we get to discover the dino toys hidden within child-safe sand puddy
- Pop n Catch Day!
Pop'n Catch relay game where students win points to select their own prize.
8. Sensory Exploration Day!
Learn all about Canadian ecosystems as we play with a pond ecosystem, sand toys and a water sensory bin.
- Hay Hunt day! Learn about different foods as we search for them in a haystack to place in different bins!
10. Bug Scavenger Hunt Day!
Using your very own bug catcher find and collect as many hidden bugs in the room and place them in the correct location on the bug board! Everyone gets a prize!
1.Painting Day
Each student get their own set of materials to create their own painting masterpiece alongside their favourite critter!
2.Reading With Critters Day!
Read alongside a teacher-selected book or a Curious Critters-selected book to some of your favourite critters.
3.Superhero Character Creation day!
Using our character design sheet we will design and create our very own superhero character using comicbook markers!
4.Bug Day!
Build your own bug out of foam balls and crafting materials while we watch a video on different insect colonies and how they work.
5.Build Your Own Bird Glider Day!
Learn the fundamentals of how birds fly vs gliding, then assemble and decorate your own wood glider to make into a soaring bird.
6.Dino Fossil Excavation Day
Students will learn all about evolution and dinosaurs through an educational video and excavate your very own dinosaur fossil using mini paleontologist tools!
7.Hungry Hungry Snakes Game Day
An active game where we see what team of two will eat the most “mice” aka collect the most plastic balls using scooter boards!. Everyone gets a prize!
8.Sticky Lizards Game Day
A large jungle board with felt leaves where students throw sticky lizards at targets to win points! Everyone gets a prize!
9.Parachute Day!
An active group game where we work on getting the velcro balls onto the right targets on a large parachute for points in a group collaboration game with prizes!
10.Aquarium Building Day!
Students will learn all about sea creatures and the different oceans with an interactive video and activity sheet, then create and decorate their very own craft aquarium!
11.Pastel day! Each student gets their own sheet of pastel paper and smudger in order to follow along with the guided lesson on how to properly layer colors and draw a beautiful flower field
12.Egg Hatch Prize Surprise Day!
Each student cracks open their own plaster cast egg using a small mallet and chisel to reveal a surprise prize hidden inside!
13.I love myself day! Each student gets thier own lifesize sheet of paper to ask a friend or teacher to trace them onto the sheet! then each studen gets to decorate and write things they love about themselves using a huge arra of craft and art supplies!
14.Pet Day
An interactive presentation on all types of pets, why to have a pet and why NOT to have a pet, followed by creating a mini clay pet.
15.Watercolor Painting Day
Learn about wildlife preservation and the importance of maintaining our environment while following guided instruction to paint a roaring tiger.
16.Slime Making Day!
Learn all about metamorphosis in insects, crabs and frogs, then create and decorate your very own slime to take home.
Critters Ages 10-14
1. Clay Critter Creation Day!
Follow alongside an educational journey through adaptation and evolution using your very own air-dry clay blob to morph into a creature to take home.
2. Card Making Day! (Self-Esteem Exercise)
A self-esteem building exercise where each student has a paper taped to their back and classmates write nice things anonymously before making a craft card for someone they care about.
3. Pastel Day! Each student gets their own sheet of pastel paper and smudger in order to follow along the guided lesson on how to properly layer colors and draw a beautiful flower field
4. Slime Making Day!
Learn all about metamorphosis in insects, crabs and frogs, then create and decorate your very own slime to take home.

Make your own cleaning spray solution, learn about the science behind cleaning properties, pick between different scents and take it home in a mini spray bottle!
BigCritters Ages 14+
1. Climate Change & Future Careers (45 min Presentation)
A presentation on climate change, how to help, and future jobs that help animals and the environment.
2. Manga Character Creation day!
Using our character design sheet we will design and create our very own anime/manga character using manga markers!
3. Cooperation Art Workshop
An interactive workshop exploring good behaviour vs bad behaviour in academic, professional and interpersonal relationships while we colour & draw a self-portrait.
4. Our Body & Stress Activity Day!
A presentation on how bad experiences such as stress or trauma, can affect the body and exercises that can help prevent or lessen potential damage.
5. Watercolour Painting Day!
Learn about wildlife preservation and the importance of maintaining our environment while following guided instruction to paint a roaring tiger.
